Automation Engineer

Role Description The Automation Engineer will work in a part-time, remote capacity to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions that support Esencia • Limpieza con propósito’s cleaning and sustainability processes. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing control systems, integrating robotics and automated equipment, and ensuring reliable operation of electrical and automation components. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, monitoring system performance, and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs, document technical specifications, and support testing, deployment, and maintenance of automation projects. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Automation and Process Control skills to design, configure, and optimize automated systems. Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills to work with control panels, sensors, actuators, and related hardware. Candidates should possess Robotics and Automation integration skills to implement and maintain robotic solutions in operational environments. Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve system and equipment issues. Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, or industrial control software is beneficial. Relevant technical degree or certification in engineering, automation, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams. Understanding of safety standards and best practices in automated and electrical systems is an advantage.
