Backend Developer

At Holly Palm, we help ambitious brands scale through technology. As one of Shopify’s leading partners, we develop custom Shopify solutions, complex integrations, mobile applications, and seamless commerce experiences for fast-growing and enterprise brands. Alongside our client projects, we continuously develop Holly Connect, our integration platform that connects Shopify with ERP systems, marketplaces, logistics providers, payment systems, and other commerce technologies. We are looking for a Backend Developer who is passionate about software development, enjoys working on complex systems and integrations, and takes ownership of delivering reliable and well-structured solutions. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field. At least 4 years of professional, full-time experience developing applications using .NET and/or .NET Core Web API. Strong understanding of software development processes, with the ability to analyse business and technical requirements, evaluate architectural alternatives, and determine appropriate technical solutions. Professional experience working in Agile software development environments and applying Agile methodologies in practice. Previous experience working on e-commerce projects and/or systems involving ERP, CRM, shipping and logistics, or marketplace integrations. Responsibilities Develop and maintain existing and new software projects using .NET and .NET Core, contributing to both Holly Connect and client projects. Analyse business and technical requirements, evaluate alternative approaches, and make appropriate architectural and implementation decisions to deliver solutions aligned with project expectations. Plan development activities, identify required resources, estimate implementation timelines, and take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables. Actively participate in regular team meetings and contribute to development processes in line with Agile methodologies. Support the training, mentoring, and professional development of interns by sharing technical knowledge and providing guidance.
