Electrical BIM Modeler

Electrical BIM Modeler International Group – International projects B.L. Harbert International (BLHI), a USA based international design-build, construction management, and general contracting company, is looking for an Electrical BIM Modeler for international projects. As an Electrical BIM Modeler, you will work closely with job site BIM Manager and international group Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Responsibilities: Develops drawings, preliminary layouts, sketches or marked-up prints utilizing conventional drafting tools and/or computer assisted design/drafting programs Create detailed field installation drawings and fabrication drawings. Assists in preliminary layout of complex assignments to define appropriate drawings and information. Establish, implement, and maintain standards for projects working in Revit/AutoCAD and other software Prepares design modifications from provided sketches and data when prototypes are not available. Reviews and checks others’ work, as requested. Provide technical support for existing projects and field service. Coordinate and prepare record as-built models and drawings. Create Virtual Reality demonstrations from 3D models as required Model building and drawings of building services elements Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a University or a related technical field with 3 • 5 years of hands-on experience working in Electrical BIM modelling. Experience in efficiently setting up projects in Revit, AutoCAD Experience utilizing Dynamo and Python to automate tasks in BIM Software Expertise in producing 2D Drawings from 3D Models Understand how to use external reference files Experience in drafting electrical system is a plus Excellent communication skills essential for team-based working. Proficiency with AutoCAD and other associated software. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent Revit and CAD drafting skills Proficient in BIM software (NavisWorks, Dynamo, 360Glue, etc…) Proficient in Microsoft Programs Proficient in electronic document exchange Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications Excellent knowledge of the construction process Excellent communication skills are essential for team-based working. Effective planning, self-management, leadership, and teamwork skills. Preferences: Ability to effectively review project drawings, specifications and related technical documents Design Build construction experience Construction Administration phase BIM coordination experience Work Environment: To perform the duties of this job, the employee Must have flexibility with hours to better accommodate business needs.
