We are looking for a passionate Lead Engineer– R&D (Thermodynamics & System-Based Modelling ) who will join our team at Central R&D . Working on projects related to improving the vapor compression system for heating/cooling, Developing and refining system-level models of vapor compression heating and cooling systems using simulation tools (e.g., GT-SUITE, Modelica), and calibrating and validating these models against experimental data to support performance prediction and design optimization, Conducting experimental and aligned numerical studies to investigate the thermal system characteristics and effects on the cooling/heating performance and energy efficiency of heat pump systems, efficiency of their components and sub-systems, Analyzing experimental and numerical results to develop the related heat pump system and component designs, Developing alternative cooling/heating system designs, algorithms, and new technology applications to improve thermal performance of the products, Preparing test plans for both systems and components such as compressors and heat exchangers, Performing theoretical thermal analysis and engineering calculations on the thermodynamics and heat&mass transfer issues related with the cooling/heating system applications, Following/learning and developing related test standards, Improving digital skills to interpret the experimental and numerical results, Reporting, presenting, and sharing outcomes of the R&D project studies across departments and functions. The position is located in Çayırova, İstanbul. How do we describe a perfect match? Master's degree or currently continuing PhD. Education (preferably) in Mechanical Engineering, Minimum 5 years of experience in thermodynamics/heat transfer topics (especially for cooling systems), Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and heat & mass transfer, Knowledge and experience in the design and optimization of thermal systems and components, vapor compression cooling and heat-pump systems, Knowledge and experience in thermo-fluid transport phenomena, Experience in thermal systems engineering, cooling and/or heat pump systems, Having experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or numerical engineering tools such as Modelica Dymola, MATLAB, EES (preferably) Having a desire to do both experimental and numerical R&D work in a continuously learning and developing manner, Excellent verbal and written skills in English, Following and adopting market trends and new technologies, Thinking broadly about business, and understanding the needs of the market & customers, Having a desire to do outstanding jobs, outside-the-box thinking ability, and being open to an innovation culture, Recognizing and understanding the emotions of other people, knowing what empathy really means, Listening to different perspectives and showing flexibility, Building collaboration and being a great team player with a self-initiative mindset, Being open to communication is always our priority.
