Design Engineer

Located in Istanbul Teknopark , our Türkiye office is dedicated to the design of aircraft components, supporting Mubea’ s global role in the aerospace industry. This office represents a strategic expansion of our engineering capabilities and our commitment to innovation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration. We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to advanced aerospace projects, collaborate with international colleagues, and play a key part in shaping the future of engineering excellence at Mubea. Key Responsibilities Develop and modify metal and composite aircraft parts and assemblies. Design tooling and jigs for aircraft components (including lamination tools, milling jigs, and other manufacturing tooling). Perform tolerance analyses for parts, assemblies, and tooling. Create design data, including 3D models, 2D drawings, bills of materials, ply books, and engineering change documentation, in CAD and PDM systems according to customer requirements. Collaborate closely with international engineering teams, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure manufacturable and cost-effective designs. Prepare engineering documentation and participate in design reviews, checks, and release activities. Core Competencies Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Experience in mechanical design, including parts, assemblies, tooling, molds, and fixtures. Good working knowledge of CATIA V5. Proficiency in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Good command of English, including technical terminology, with the ability to communicate effectively in technical meetings and written correspondence. A structured and proactive working style, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work effectively in an international team. Willing and able to travel internationally. Preferred Qualifications Experience in composite tooling design and related manufacturing processes is a plus. Experience in aircraft fuselage design and related manufacturing technologies is a plus. A good understanding of general airworthiness regulations, including EASA Part 21J / Part 21G, is a plus. Experience with Airbus PLM systems, including Airbus VPM and PASS SSI, is a plus.
