In that team; Designing, developing and maintaining architectural principles and templates for GEN and Mainframe applications. Defining architectural patterns for integration with GEN and Mainframe applications. Defining performance optimization patterns for GEN and Mainframe applications. Supporting DevOps teams in optimizing SDLC and CI/CD processes for GEN and Mainframe applications. Providing technical expertise and support to System and Application Development teams. In addition, performing the following activities as required: preparing architecture-related documentation; designing and developing core application components; conducting root cause analyses for various technical issues; preparing technical training materials; and delivering internal training sessions on designated topics. How do we describe the perfect match? Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. At least 3 years of application development experience on Z (Mainframe) and/or GEN (CoolGen) platforms. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Mainframe application development technologies, including COBOL, PL/I, CICS, Batch, and MQ. Experience with database systems and concepts, particularly DB2 and SQL. Knowledge of GEN application architecture. Experience with development standards, templates, best practices, and guidelines for both GEN and Mainframe applications. Good understanding of SDLC processes. Willingness to proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes (e.g., Z DevOps), applications, and tools.
