Role Description The MRI Field Engineer role at MIA │ Medical Imaging Academy is a full-time, on-site position based in Istanbul. The MRI Field Engineer will perform installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of MRI systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Daily responsibilities include conducting diagnostic tests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting all service activities clearly and accurately. The role involves visiting customer sites, providing technical support and guidance to clinical and technical staff, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of service requests. The MRI Field Engineer will also support project execution for equipment upgrades and turnkey solutions, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold MIA’s quality and customer service standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for MRI and related medical imaging systems. Candidates should possess field service experience, including on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment. Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact with clients, clinical staff, and internal teams in a clear and professional manner. Candidates should possess project management abilities to plan, coordinate, and complete equipment deployments and service projects on schedule. Relevant technical education (e.g., degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field) and prior experience with MRI or other medical imaging modalities are highly beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, follow safety protocols, and work independently in the field is essential. Willingness to travel within the region as needed, and proficiency in English and local languages, is an advantage.
