Research Engineer

We are looking for a Research Engineer to join the Koç University İş Bank Artificial Intelligence Research Center (KUIS AI) of our university who meets the following criteria: Qualifications • BS, MS, or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related department from a reputable university • Strong algorithmic thinking and computational skills in AI/ML/DL • Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks • Proven experience through an MS/PhD degree or work experience in at least one of the following areas: computer vision, language models, and/or data science • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Proficiency in C, C++, or Java is a plus Job Description • Work with the Directorate Office and AI faculty members to support academic and industrial projects of KUIS AI • Contribute to the preparation of research proposals to be submitted to national and international funding agencies • Interact with industrial partners to understand their needs and priorities • Research, implement, and optimize state-of-the-art solutions in AI/ML/DL • Provide technical and software development support • Attend meetings, technical events, and brainstorming sessions • Undertake technical and educational tasks of the Center Koç University embraces the principle of equal opportunities.
