Service Provider Network Consulting Engineer

Job Title : Service Provider Network Consulting Engineer Duration : 6 months (renewable) Client : Cisco Location : Walnut Creek, CA Rate : Market Rate Brief Job details: The successful candidate will be responsible for the flawless execution of the following: Software & Hardware strategy, Network Optimization and Operational Support portfolio which includes Proactive Software Recommendation (Bug Analysis), as well as hands on networking experience and analysis, delivering proactive reports generated through Cisco tools. You will also be collaborating and working onsite with the customer as a Subject Matter Expert within the Routing and Switching role, while working on assigned deliverables. Required Skills: Demonstrated experience within the Service Provider realm; network engineering or telecommunications support. Strong understanding of Routing & Switching technologies, experience in planning, design & implementation of network infrastructure. Experience and Knowledge of the following technologies: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Multicast, QoS & switching (LAN, VTP, STP, etc...) technologies. Expert knowledge and experience on the following products (Any 3): Cisco 7600, Cisco 6500, CRS, Integrated Services Routers, ASR 1000, Nexus product families.
