This unit requires a strong knowledge base of hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive pressor support, invasive cardiac and lung assistive devices and the beginning steps of rehabilitating a cardiac patient. We also manage the care of ECMO patients who require extensive support for cardiac and/or lung disease/trauma. You'll be the coordinator and champion of quality care, using your nursing expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. Delegate and supervise care with confidence, document like a pro, and empower patients and families with the knowledge they need to thrive. Role Overview As a Float Registered Nurse , you will provide leadership in delivering safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care across a variety of clinical settings. Using the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients and their families. You will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, communicate effectively, and use clinical judgment to address patient needs and support positive outcomes. What You Will Do Lead the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS).
