# Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buses, trucks, and diesel engines to ensure optimal performance and safety. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Conduct inspections of engines, transmissions, brake systems, and other components to identify and resolve potential problems. Replace defective parts, such as brakes, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and government regulations. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and drivers to understand vehicle issues and provide timely solutions. Keep up to date with the latest industry standards and technological advancements in vehicle repair and maintenance. Assist with ordering parts and managing inventory to ensure necessary supplies are available for timely repairs. Provide emergency roadside service to vehicles experiencing breakdowns when necessary.
