DB2 DBA

Duration: 4-6 months CTH Design and create and alter Databases, Tablespaces, Tables, Indexes, Views to meet the business requirements. Setup appropriate security to allow access to the databases and tables. Ability to establish both database backup and Disaster Recovery procedures – mirroring and clustering. Ability to identify performance issues and recommend solutions – primarily index design, but could include SQL changes. Ability to setup and run the utilities to prevent performance or space problems – run the reorg and statistics utilities. Assist the System Administrators, Application Developers and End Users with database related problems. Assist Operations with after hours on-call support. Self starter. Works well with others – we need team players.​ The AIX DBA will need experience with: DB2 version 10 and 10.5 and Experience with the DPF product.
