Press Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Metal Stamping Press Operator Reports to: Manufacturing and Operations Manager Department: Manufacturing FLSA: Non-Exempt Status: Full Time Summary Quick Tie Products, Inc. (QuickTie) is a growing building products manufacturing company located in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Operator. Job Responsibilities Comply with all safety and OSHA standards. Set up and operate coil fed metal stamping presses ranging from 70 to 300 tons. Responsible for setting the tooling and operating the press safely. Responsible for documenting production and downtime. Ability to use tools including, but not limited to, calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Ability to problem solve and employ trouble-shooting efforts. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Must have mechanical aptitude. Communicate with supervisor on tooling problems and supply requirements. Perform routine housekeeping and improvements in work area as necessary. Education, Skills and Experience Required Five years related experience High school graduate or equivalent Ability to read blueprints. Working Conditions Work overtime as required. Must be able to work in many awkward positions on tools in in the press. Work under pressures of meeting schedules. Occasionally lift, push and pull up to 60 pounds. Requires standing, walking and/or moving about for extended periods. Perform position requirements while wearing eye, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required Work Schedule: Monday • Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch and two (2) 15-minute breaks daily. Fridays designated for overtime, as needed.
