The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assists the Club Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the club. This is a supervisory position. Scheduled shifts. Reports directly to the Club Manager and/or Assistant Club Manager. Supervises 5-10 subordinate employees primarily, but not exclusively, in a specific duty area of the Club (F&B operations, slots, cafe, etc.). Monitors operations of the club or assigned area, normally during absence of the manager and assistant manager, often at night or on weekends. Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash boxes. Controls and directs F&B cash handling, credit card processing, and reporting for the operation. Uses required software in reconciling transactions and processes for proper accounting. Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by higher management. Implements training and provides on-site supervision for the operation (cost center/AoR). Provides instruction and guidance to club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Responsible for workforce management, staff recruitment, and training. Maintains documentation of all personnel training and meets operational and administrative deadlines. Effectively and efficiently schedules employees based on approved budgets and activity needs. Ensures economical and efficient restaurant operations, working within local and industry guidelines. May also support food/bar service operations for various events, utilizing kitchen equipment. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations and established procedures are followed. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Assumes responsibility and authority for facility maintenance and upkeep. Participates in the planning of structural changes and self-help projects. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess business skills and judgment of specialized experience in food & beverage operations, and supervisory experience. Must know fundamental principles, methodology, and techniques of operational restaurant management. Knowledge and skill in a variety of related duties, including payroll, budgeting, costing, inventory control and facility and equipment maintenance preferred. Must be skilled in working with others, as well as knowledgeable of financial and personnel management techniques and administrative policies and procedures. Must be able to identify product quality standards. Experience in using judgment and initiative in hospitality skills, as well as proficiency in both written and oral communication. Must be able to articulate clearly to the team members, other members of management and our guests. Must work flexible schedules to include weekends and nights. Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects up to 50lbs. Must stand and walk for prolonged periods of time (7 to 8 hours per shift). Must be able to satisfactory compete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to operate a cash register, computer, and various kitchen equipment. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of suitability and fitness for the position. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
