Recreation Aid (Facility Aid) NF-01

This position is located at Fort Bliss Gymnasiums & Aquatic Facilities. Monitors facility operations and ensures compliance with rules and safety procedures. Issues, receives, and maintains accountability of recreational and fitness equipment. Assists with set up and support for fitness and sport programs, activities, and special events. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly facility environment. Resumes must be two pages (or less). A qualified candidate must possess the following: Related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of position as indicated: 1. Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events,athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. 2. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material. 3. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.
