LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Metrology Management Division of the Technical Department of STRATEGIC WEAPONS FACILITY PACIFIC (SWFPAC). You will plan, manage, direct, and execute calibration exchange events with SSBN/SSGN boats. You will evaluate patrol and/or deployment scenarios for SSBN/SSGN boats and determine configuration requirements for Exchange Pool and ship-to-shop calibration support. You will conduct scheduled TMDE exchanges and provide emergent support throughout refit periods, major maintenance periods, or voyage repair periods and maintain accountability for custody control of government-owned equipment. You will analyze calibration exchange process/results and implement process improvement changes where necessary to improve effectiveness and efficiency. You will manage the Exchange Pool test equipment inventory for SWFPAC using data processing tools and software. You will implement corrective action to correct deficiencies including procurement of assets, disposition of excesses and shortages, etc. You will evaluate Exchange Pool inventory levels to ensure proper ratios of Fleet and Ready For Issue (RFI) assets are consistently maintained. You will conduct Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation studies for Exchange Pool TMDE to ensure equipment is properly stored, packed and transported to forward deployed sites within calibration reliability and accuracy requirements. You will coordinate Radiation Detection, Indication and Computation (RADIAC) allowances and calibration services for SWFPAC and the Exchange Pool. You will develop and maintain internal operational procedures encompassing the acquisition, storage, recall and replacement, maintenance, packing, transportation, custody transfer and disposal of Exchange Pool TMDE. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialist experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing logistical support to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and provide recommendations to improve program/process effectiveness. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another filed related to the position. OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position. OR Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
