Process Technician

Process Technician – Extrusion Blow Molding The Process Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance, quality, efficiency, and reliability of extrusion blow molding equipment. This role monitors production processes, troubleshoots equipment and process issues, and ensures machines operate safely, consistently, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Monitor and adjust critical process parameters to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Maintain consistent product quality and ensure production meets established specifications and standards. Troubleshoot and optimize blow molding processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and equipment performance. Verify raw materials are available, properly prepared, and free from defects before processing. Identify and communicate process inconsistencies or production issues across shifts. Develop and implement corrective actions to address process, equipment, or quality issues. Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting on molds and blow molding equipment. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including assigned machines, tools, and equipment. Assist the Production Manager with training, coaching, and development of Machine Operators. Follow all company safety procedures, environmental policies, and OSHA requirements. Qualifications 3+ years of extrusion blow molding experience required. Strong knowledge of blow molding processes, equipment, and troubleshooting. Ability to optimize processes and make adjustments to improve quality and production performance. Experience with toolmaking, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or electronic systems is preferred. Previous experience training or mentoring technical or production employees is a plus. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and shifts. Flexible availability based on production and operational requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of 10+ hours. Regularly required to reach, climb, balance, and use hands to operate tools and equipment. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions. Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Must have sufficient close vision to inspect products, molds, machinery, and equipment.
