What Does a Product Development Team Member Do at Farplas? Analyze customer needs and requirements to develop interior and exterior trim part designs that meet both functional and aesthetic expectations. Select appropriate engineering materials (PP, ABS, PC, TPO, etc.) by considering part performance and manufacturing requirements. Take an active role in the creation of initial prototypes and in determining and interpreting the virtual and physical validation tests required for product verification. Ensure design suitability for plastic injection molding processes prior to mass production; continuously improve designs and processes to reduce costs, enhance quality, and increase manufacturing efficiency. Create development schedules aligned with customer project plans throughout all phases of product development and optimize designs to eliminate unnecessary costs. Conduct research on new plastic injection technologies, tooling innovations, and material developments to keep products technologically up to date; improve designs through the use of recyclable materials and part integration opportunities. Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments while maintaining continuous communication with customers and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and achieved. What Are the Requirements for a Product Development Team Member at Farplas? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection part and system design within the automotive industry. Advanced 3D modeling skills in both part and assembly environments (preferably using CATIA V5). Knowledge of PLM systems (preferably Enovia, Teamcenter, or similar platforms). English proficiency at B1 level or above. Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in plastic injection molding processes and manufacturability. Ability to interpret virtual analysis results and physical test outcomes. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Passionate about engineering design, with an international mindset and vision. Open to continuous learning and self-development, with a dynamic and proactive approach. Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, and project follow-up skills. Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
