QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university; an LL.M. or other postgraduate legal education is highly preferred. A minimum of min 7 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on M&As, project finance, commercial contracts, and mining law. Full professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across diverse, cross-functional, and multicultural teams. Strong communication skills with the confidence to provide strategic legal advice and risk assessments at the executive and operational board level. Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented, with exceptional analytical capabilities and a structured approach to problem-solving, feedback, and deadline management in high-paced environments. JOB DESCRIPTION Prepare, negotiate, and review a broad range of commercial agreements and legal documentation, with a particular emphasis on transactions in the mining, media, and advertising sectors. Lead the legal review and internal approval processes for contractual arrangements, ensuring the company’s legal rights and obligations are consistently protected and enforced. Act as a trusted legal advisor to business units including Sales, M&A, Finance, and Human Resources, ensuring legal alignment with corporate goals and operational initiatives. Represent the company and its affiliates in dealings with regulatory bodies, managing all legal submissions, applications, and official correspondences. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company’s sectors, and proactively communicate implications to key stakeholders. Oversee and coordinate the engagement of external legal counsel, particularly in relation to complex litigation, material claims, or specialized legal matters, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and regional strategies.
