Company Description Primrose School of Midtown Tulsa is a private early childhood education school serving families in the Tulsa, OK community. We are an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age. The school offers a balanced, play-based and academically focused curriculum designed to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Primrose emphasizes a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. Team members collaborate closely with families and colleagues to provide high-quality care and education. The school values professional development and supports educators in expanding their skills and careers in early childhood education. Primary Responsibilities: Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children. Observes all rules and regulations and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children. Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming. Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations. Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior. Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Employee Handbook Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary. Qualifications: Background in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, with knowledge of age-appropriate teaching practices. Skills to implement our structured, Balanced Learning Curriculum and developmentally appropriate learning activities. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues. Ability to maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment, following health and safety standards. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting young children’s growth and learning. High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain; ability to meet state and local childcare licensing requirements.
