In this role, you'll work alongside early career and experienced engineers to gain an understanding of civil infrastructure design and consulting. You'll gain hands-on experience while developing technical skills and problem-solving abilities that will create a foundation for your career. What You’ll Do Be a part of the project team and under the supervision of Professional Engineers, performing manhole inspections throughout the City of Canton sewer systems  Provide knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a reali0life application of civil engineering  Locate manholes using GPS (survey equipment), taking pictures using a tablet, and inspecting for infiltration and cracks Assist with field work and office work Skills & Qualifications Current undergraduate student in good academic standing pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Surveying or Mapping or related field from an ABET-accredited program and completion of one year coursework required Ability to lift manhole covers up to 80lbs Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to learn PDF markup/review tools, such as BlueBeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat Ability to learn AutoCAD or Microstation design software packages, direct experience is a plus Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate, learn, and grow Availability to work full-time during Summer of 2027 Valid driver’s license and good driving record; some travel may be required Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 30 – 40 hours per week.
