# Clinic Service Representative

We're looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Clinic Service Representative to join our healthcare team in Grosse Pointe Farms, United States. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient clinic experience. In this position, you'll support our clinical staff and medical professionals by managing patient registration, insurance verification, and financial discussions while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence and patient confidentiality. Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression Perform accurate patient registration and check-in procedures, collecting necessary information and documentation Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, communicating clearly with patients about their financial responsibilities Handle cash collections and process payments with accuracy and transparency Reconcile patient charts and manage discharge processes efficiently and thoroughly Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and clinic staff through in-person and telephone interactions Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing frequent interruptions while maintaining attention to detail Support team members collaboratively, contributing to a culture of service excellence and mutual support Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all healthcare privacy regulations Utilize clinic management systems and software to input, retrieve, and organize patient information accurately Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Demonstrated ability to perform calculations, complete forms, and work with detailed information Proficiency with computer information systems and basic software applications Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with diverse patient populations Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced clinic environment Dependability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills Proven teamwork and collaborative abilities Basic knowledge of patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Comfortable handling cash and processing financial transactions Ability to navigate email systems, software programs, and clinic management platforms Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a clinic, medical office, or healthcare setting Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical terminology Experience working with diverse populations and age groups Knowledge of patient registration and check-in procedures Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems Problem-solving skills and ability to handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism Henry Ford Health partners with millions of people on their health journey, across Michigan and around the world.
