Role Description The Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator at Mersin Trans Logistics is a full-time, on-site role based in Akdeniz. The coordinator oversees day-to-day shipment handling, including booking cargo space, preparing documentation, and arranging transport with carriers and agents. Responsibilities include monitoring shipment status, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with customers, warehouses, and internal teams to manage schedules, costs, and service quality. The coordinator also supports continuous process improvement by tracking key performance indicators and maintaining accurate records in operational systems. Qualifications Experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations, including shipment coordination, documentation handling, and interaction with carriers and customs agents. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple shipments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and customer service abilities, including clear written and verbal communication and the capacity to manage stakeholder expectations. Basic proficiency with logistics or ERP systems and common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, and document management tools). Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of operational issues. Ability to work on-site in Akdeniz, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing operational requirements. Relevant education in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Knowledge of international trade terms, customs procedures, and transport modes (sea, road, air) is an advantage.
