Maintenance Manager

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for GreenField My client, an automotive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) veyr well knowed and established in EV markets, has just entered a phase of external growth that will profoundly reshape its industrial footprint over the coming years. Several acquisitions are already under review, and executive management has made a clear choice. Position Overview The Maintenance Engineer ensures equipment reliability, maintainability and availability across all four Powertrain APUs — Stator & Rotor, Inverter & Battery, Powertrain Assembly, and Dyno Technology & Testing. Rather than being dedicated to a single line, this role is a shared resource deployed flexibly wherever ramp-up needs are highest, establishing maintenance standards from commissioning through serial production, driving preventive and predictive maintenance, and developing the local maintenance capability required for stable operations plant-wide. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Reliability Strategy Define preventive, predictive and autonomous maintenance routines across all APUs. Establish equipment handover, maintenance standards and critical spare-parts requirements. Deploy TPM / reliability routines and maintenance performance tracking plant-wide. Commissioning & Equipment Handover Support FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning and maintainability verification across lines. Ensure documentation, spares, PM plans and technical acceptance are complete before handover. Breakdown Elimination & Continuous Improvement Lead troubleshooting and permanent corrective actions for recurring failures on any line. Drive equipment uptime, MTBF and MTTR improvement across the four APUs. Partner with Process and Automation teams to eliminate chronic losses. Cross-APU Prioritization Flex support across APUs based on real-time ramp-up priority, breakdown severity and launch schedule. Maintain visibility of equipment condition and open maintenance issues across all four lines. Technical Scope — By APU APU 1 — Stator & Rotor Winding/forming equipment, impregnation/curing systems, balancing machines and presses. APU 2 — Inverter & Battery HV assembly equipment, dispensing/sealing systems, torque tools and test equipment. Safe maintenance practices for high-voltage manufacturing equipment. APU 3 — Powertrain Assembly Robots, conveyors, presses, torque systems, leak testers and material handling. APU 4 — Dyno Technology & Testing Dynamometers, cooling/conditioning systems, sensors, instrumentation and test racks. Calibration support and utility reliability. Across all APUs: preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, MTBF/MTTR, spare-parts strategy, equipment availability and rapid breakdown recovery during ramp-up. Capability Transfer Train local technicians and build structured troubleshooting capability across all four APUs. Develop skills matrices and certification requirements for maintenance ownership plant-wide. Skills Strong TPM / RCM, preventive and predictive maintenance knowledge. Advanced troubleshooting across automated manufacturing equipment of different types. Strong reliability analysis, MTBF / MTTR and spare-parts discipline. Working knowledge of CMMS such as SAP PM, Maximo or equivalent. Ability to prioritize and reallocate effort across multiple lines under changing operational pressure. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering discipline. 5-8+ years automotive / EV maintenance or reliability experience. Hands-on commissioning, equipment handover and ramp-up experience. Broad maintenance experience spanning multiple production technologies (e.g. stator/rotor, HV/battery, robotic assembly, or test/dyno systems) is a strong asset. Fluent English required. Preferred Profile A versatile, reliability-focused maintenance engineer who can establish the maintenance system across all four APUs, stabilize equipment performance during ramp-up wherever it is needed most, and build strong local technical capability plant-wide — rather than being anchored to a single line.
