INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Naval Supply Systems Command
You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Material Support Division of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
You will serve as the on-site representative for inventory management of depot maintenance material and direct oversite of supporting warehouses for SWRMC.
You will ensure proper flow of incoming and outgoing inventory to support maintenance planning and production as well as defines warehousing processes to support Class Project Teams.
You will exercise responsibility for the operation of the receiving, transfer to shipping, delivery and inventory operations.
You will determine current and anticipated storage requirements and advises supervisor.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS
• 07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals. 2.Manages programs and fosters an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and ensures sound management processes and procedures are in place, ensuring that national interests are well served. Accepts responsibility for mistakes. Complies with established control systems and rules. 3.Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. 4.The ability to control, cataloging, requirements forecasting, procurement scheduling, distribution, and overhaul (DX/RX) and disposal of materiel. Executes replenishment strategies to meet enterprise supply planning objectives in order to satisfy customer requirements. Perform inventory reconciliation. Receives, enters, and validates requisition order. Issues material release order to Distribution. 5.Demonstrates skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet. 6.Conveys written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expresses thoughts persuasively and uses effective modes to reinforce message retention. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
