Plant General Manager-Pharmaceuticals

Plant General Manager Location: Istanbul, Asian Side Industry: Pharmaceuticals / Sterile Manufacturing As Human Kapital, we are seeking a Plant General Manager on behalf of our corporate client operating in the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate is expected to have senior management experience and the capability to manage all operational processes end to end within a modern pharmaceutical manufacturing facility that operates in compliance with GMP standards, specializes in sterile production, and follows an export-oriented growth strategy. The role requires the ability to provide strategic direction across production, quality, finance, technical operations, and commercial activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline At least 10 years of experience in a senior management position within companies engaged in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing Advanced knowledge of GMP standards and sterile manufacturing processes Good command of English, sufficient to manage commercial processes Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications Preferably experienced in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities with export operations Residing in or willing to relocate to the Asian Side of Istanbul Strong leadership, strategic management, and organizational skills Experience in financial management, cost control, and budgeting processes Ability to promote a continuous improvement culture and lead change management initiatives Strong communication, negotiation, and representation skills Results-oriented, analytical, and confident in decision-making Job Description and Responsibilities Develop and implement the plant’s strategic objectives, budget, and annual business plans Effectively manage production, quality, technical operations, warehouse, and microbiology processes Ensure the continuity and efficiency of sterile manufacturing processes, including ampoule filling, vial filling, lyophilization, and similar operations Ensure full compliance with GMP, ISO, and all applicable national and international regulations Successfully manage regulatory authority and customer audits Ensure the effective execution of CAPA processes and root cause analyses Safeguard the accuracy of stability studies and shelf-life processes Manage the plant’s budget, cost structure, and profitability performance Lead productivity improvement and cost-reduction projects Conduct feasibility and ROI analyses for new investment and technology projects Manage maintenance and technical operations processes in line with TPM principles Ensure the planning of technical, GMP, and leadership training programs Manage business development and contract processes with domestic and international contract manufacturing organization (CMO) clients Manage supplier performance and establish sustainable business partnerships Prepare production, quality, financial, and operational performance reports and deliver regular presentations to senior management Manage projects that support domestic and international growth strategies HUMAN KAPİTAL İnsan Kaynakları ve Danışmanlık Hizmetleri San.
