Senior Software Engineer – .NET

About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in the .NET platform to help design, modernize, and operate mission-critical enterprise applications. In this role, you will work on cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes-based deployments, domain-driven design, microservices migration, engineering automation, and AI-assisted development practices. You will collaborate closely with product, architecture, DevOps, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, maintainable, and scalable software systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and modern API patterns. Lead the migration of existing monolithic or legacy applications into well-designed microservices and modular architectures. Apply domain-driven design principles, including bounded contexts, aggregates, value objects, domain events, and clear separation of business logic. Build and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including deployments, services, configuration, secrets, health checks, observability, and autoscaling. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release automation, environment promotion strategies, and deployment reliability. Perform high-quality code reviews focused on maintainability, security, testability, performance, and architectural consistency. Write and maintain technical documentation, architecture decision records, API documentation, migration plans, and operational runbooks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to break down complex business requirements into clean technical designs and deliverable engineering tasks. Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools responsibly to improve engineering productivity, accelerate refactoring, support test generation, and enhance documentation quality. Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend expertise in C#, .NET 9.0/10.0, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, gRPC, messaging, and relational databases. Hands-on experience designing distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns. Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ingress controllers, service discovery, configuration management, and runtime troubleshooting. Solid understanding of domain-driven design, clean architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, and enterprise application architecture. Experience with CI/CD practices, including automated builds, test automation, deployment pipelines, release gates, and rollback strategies. Ability to review complex codebases, identify architectural risks, improve code quality, and mentor other engineers. Experience with observability practices, including structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and production diagnostics. Strong communication skills with the ability to document decisions, explain trade-offs, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Experience Experience modernizing legacy .NET Framework applications into .NET 9.0/10.0 services or cloud-native platforms. Knowledge of message brokers and streaming platforms such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies. Experience with PostgreSQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Redis, distributed caching, outbox/inbox patterns, and data migration strategies. Familiarity with identity and access management concepts such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Keycloak, or similar platforms. Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps practices using tools such as Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, Flux, or similar technologies. Understanding of secure software development practices, threat modeling, secrets management, dependency scanning, and container image security. Nice to Have Experience with high-throughput, low-latency, or mission-critical systems. Experience contributing to architecture reviews, technical hiring, mentoring, or engineering standards. Familiarity with warehouse, logistics, ERP integration, identity, or regulated enterprise environments. Knowledge of model-based systems engineering practices and how software architecture decisions connect with system-level design. Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, Angular, or similar technologies is a plus. Experience working with distributed teams and agile delivery practices. Location: Bostancı/İstanbul Office work is required one day a week. Shuttle service is not provided. The number of days working from the office may increase depending on business needs
