Context & Purpose of Role: izURET has excelled at providing high quality, timely, and cost-effective architectural services over the past 7 years for numerous projects in the United States and around the world. An engineering division was created at the beginning of 2025 to expand our services to our clients on each and every project. We are seeking to further expand our team of engineers and BIM modelers to tackle mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil aspects of a wide range of projects spanning from retail, restaurant, grocery and refrigeration, and commercial buildings to heavy industrial, data centers and even hospitality. This position will initially focus on supporting a dedicated engineering team for a major US grocery and retail client, providing modeling, drafting, calculation, and coordination support for that client's refrigeration engineering group. As demand grows and skills develop, team members will have the opportunity to flex into other engineering assignments across Trelity's broader project base. This position sets the stage for career advancement as we are finding a high demand for these services. This person will be working with and learning directly from the Engineering Manager as well as several peers with an extensive range of backgrounds and experiences. This position will require flexibility and adaptability as we seek to address our clients’ wide-ranging requests and grow our capabilities project by project. This role includes structured, hands on mentorship in refrigeration engineering from experienced US based client engineers, in addition to Trelity's internal training and support. Job Description: Lead mechanical HVAC and plumbing modeling and construction drawing development efforts in both AutoCAD and/or Revit based on direction provided by client and Engineering Manager. Perform basic mechanical HVAC and plumbing calculations in accordance with US code requirements and guidance from supervisors. Support refrigeration system design efforts, including modeling, drafting, and coordination of refrigeration equipment layouts, piping, and line sizing, under the direction of client refrigeration engineers and Trelity leadership. Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural information between the refrigeration team and other disciplines to support accurate and well coordinated project delivery. Learn refrigeration codes, terminology, and industry standard practices through structured mentorship from US based client engineers and Trelity's senior technical staff. Understand and apply company-wide QAQC controls and standards. Prepare basic reports, specifications, and simple system designs. Research code compliance requirements specific to the project locations and advise on project adherence to these codes. Manage time spent completing project deliverables within prescribed budget and schedule. Effectively manage all assigned projects according to their Project Brief scope. Essential Expectations: Fulfill our brand promises: High Quality, On Time In Full, No Surprises, Good Design Judgement Essential Qualifications: University degree in Engineering. 1+ years AEC industry experience; refrigeration specific experience is not required. Strong Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD experience. Strong experience with MS Office programs. Experience in performance of analysis and design calculations of HVAC and plumbing systems is preferable. Eagerness to learn refrigeration engineering fundamentals through direct mentorship from experienced US based client engineers, valued more than prior project leadership experience. Interest in managing people, projects, and client communication. Fluent in English at C1 level, able to communicate comfortably with clients based in the USA, both in understanding and verbally expressing ideas. Key Attributes: Patient with repetitive work.
