Maritime Associate

Join AKT Law Firm’s maritime practice and take the lead on sophisticated, high-value international matters. We are looking for an experienced maritime lawyer ready to take ownership and help drive our practice forward. Key responsibilities include independently advising on maritime and transport law matters, handling ship sale and purchase, ship finance, shipbuilding contracts and related transactions, managing matters through to completion and maintaining direct communication with clients. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in law with a strong academic record, an LL.M. degree is an advantage 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in maritime law, including substantial involvement in complex transactions and the independent handling of matters Experience working on cross-border maritime matters is an advantage Excellent written and spoken English Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills Sound legal judgment, attention to detail and the ability to follow matters through to completion A collaborative approach, supported by strong planning and organizational skills Proactive, results-oriented and comfortable assuming responsibility in complex maritime matters If you meet these qualifications and are interested in joining our maritime practice, please submit your CV to info@aktlaw.com with the subject line “Maritime Associate”.
