Responsibilities Provide accurate and timely legal advice to relevant teams on a wide range of legal matters Research and assess legal risks related to business decisions and operations Apply effective risk management techniques and provide proactive advice on potential legal issues Draft, review, and update company policies, procedures, and standard agreements, and participate in contract negotiations Prepare legal opinions in response to requests from the company's management Provide practical legal solutions to issues raised by internal stakeholders Oversee the management of the company's litigation matters Represent the company in court hearings, arbitration, and mediation proceedings Handle complex legal matters involving multiple stakeholders Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulations, and contribute to strengthening the legal team's knowledge base Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the business and its operations Draft legal memoranda in Turkish and English on current legal issues, legislative amendments, and regulatory developments Work closely with teams across iyzico, including Sales, Operations, Finance, and other functions, to support business objectives and drive operational excellence Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law Comprehensive knowledge of payment services, payment products, e-commerce, M&A, commercial contracts, IP, data privacy, and IT law At least 5 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house legal counsel, preferably within the financial services sector Experience in litigation Experience in arbitration and mediation Strong knowledge of corporate law and corporate governance procedures Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory environment affecting corporations Demonstrated ability to develop proactive and defensive legal strategies High level of professional ethics and integrity Strong analytical skills and sound judgment Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Turkish and English What We Offer A culture of continuous development: conferences, in-house events to stay up-to-date on current trends and technology.
