Logistics Specialist

Job Purpose: To lead and manage end-to-end logistics operations for local, regional, and international shipments, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. Acts as a strategic liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and logistics service providers, while driving process improvements and minimizing operational risks. Key Accountabilities: Develops and manages end-to-end logistics plans for domestic, regional, and international shipments via air, sea, land, or courier. Optimizes schedules to meet business requirements, monitor transit progress, and proactively resolve delays or disruptions to ensure timely delivery. Coordinates complex multi-leg shipments and prioritizes high-value or critical goods. Leads the preparation, validation, and maintenance of all shipping and trade compliance documents, including CIPL, COO, BOL, HS codes, DG certificates, and customs declarations. Ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely submission to support smooth customs clearance and operational tracking. Ensures shipments adhere to customs regulations, import/export laws, Incoterms, trade restrictions, and hazardous material handling requirements. Monitors changes in regulations and implements updates to processes and procedures to prevent non-compliance. Selects, evaluates, and manages logistics service providers including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transporters. Maintains strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure service quality and responsiveness. Provides guidance and resolves operational or contractual issues. Negotiates contracts, service agreements, and resolves vendor disputes. Minimizes demurrage, detention, and avoidable logistics penalties. Monitors operational efficiency and identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Adhere to QHSSE standards to ensure safe, high-quality, and environmentally responsible contract operations. Adhere to Group Compliance Manual & SOPs. Comply with Ethics and Compliance policies to ensure TAQA operates with integrity, transparency, and the highest ethical standards. Compliance with Supply chain standards. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field Experience: 2-3 years of experience in relevant field ( Preferred: OFSE Industry experience) System Experience: Experience in SAP
