Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Governance Specialist with a focus on Data Governance and Data Quality to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in data governance, managing data quality processes, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the organization. Experience with Microsoft Purview and data governance tools is highly desirable. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks, enforcing data management best practices, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality standards are met. You will play a key role in improving our data management practices and supporting data-driven decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies and standards to ensure data integrity and compliance. Collaborate with various departments to implement data quality initiatives and data management best practices. Monitor data quality, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy and consistency. Establish and enforce data management processes for data lifecycle management, data classification, and data security. Develop and implement data quality metrics and reporting tools. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational data governance policies. Support data management tools, systems and processes to drive data-driven decision-making. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management or related roles. Strong understanding of data quality processes, data management frameworks and data governance best practices. Experience with data governance tools and data management platforms. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and compliance (e.g., KVKK, GDPR). Familiarity with data lineage, data cataloging and data classification techniques. Strong understanding of data management frameworks and industry best practices. Experience working with SQL, relational databases and ETL processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and with stakeholders. Ability to identify and solve data-related issues with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Ability to approach AI with curiosity and intention, actively incorporating AI-powered tools into workflows to enhance productivity and drive innovation. Knowledge of data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms. Knowledge of cloud data governance is preferred. Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform). Certification in data governance or related fields (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) is preferred.
