# Freelancer Data Analyst / Excel Data Specialist (CPG / FMCG)

We are looking for a hands-on data analyst who can combine, clean, and transform complex commercial data into clear, structured Excel outputs. The role focuses on preparing high quality datasets that support analysis around pricing, promotions, and trade investment optimization for CPG / FMCG clients. You enjoy figuring things out yourself, working with imperfect data, and creating structure where none exists. The work is largely Excel-based , with attention to data quality, repeatability, and presentation-ready outputs. What You Will Do Combine and align multiple data sources into one consistent analytical view Clean and transform data by removing errors, inconsistencies, and misalignments Take a problem solving approach to data gaps or limitations Build pivot table based analyses that support pricing, promotion, and trade investment decisions Prepare clear charts and tables and support the creation of PowerPoint presentations (presenting is not required) Data You Will Work With Financial sales data from ERP systems (e.g. SAP) Shipment and logistics data from planning tools Sellout / POS data from providers such as Nielsen or IRI / Circana Pricing, discounts, trade terms, and commercial investment data What We’re Looking For Strong Excel skills (data cleaning, transformations, pivot tables) Experience working with messy, non-standardized datasets A troubleshooting, self-starter mindset : able to explore, test assumptions, and find workable solutions High attention to detail and structured way of working Comfortable preparing PowerPoint-ready outputs Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) Perfect candidate Experience in CPG / FMCG Familiarity with Nielsen, IRI / Circana, or other POS data Understanding of RGM Levers Financial Acumen (full P&L understanding)
