About the Role We are looking for a Mid-Level Intellectual Property Attorney to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will manage local and international intellectual property matters while working closely with our product, technology, sales and marketing teams. You will not only provide legal services but also contribute to improving Marqby’s products, operational processes and client experience. We are looking for someone who is eager to understand how legal expertise connects with product development, technology, sales and marketing—and who is willing to actively share knowledge across the organisation. Responsibilities Conduct legal research on a broad range of intellectual property matters. Prepare, file and manage trademark, patent, design and other intellectual property applications before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and relevant foreign authorities. Coordinate, review and manage international intellectual property applications with foreign associates and clients. Communicate with local and international clients regarding ongoing matters and provide clear, practical and commercially minded legal guidance. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and proactively share relevant updates and insights with the team. Draft opposition, response and appeal petitions relating to intellectual property applications. Prepare cease-and-desist letters, petitions and other legal documents for intellectual property disputes and litigation. Draft, review and manage intellectual property-related agreements, including assignment, licensing, coexistence and confidentiality agreements. Manage deadlines, official correspondence, application processes and client reporting. Contribute to the development and improvement of Marqby’s legal workflows, products and services. Collaborate with product and technology teams to translate legal requirements and professional experience into scalable digital solutions. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support the accurate and effective communication of Marqby’s services and legal solutions. Contribute legal expertise to client presentations, reports, guides, articles and other educational or commercial content when needed. Actively share professional knowledge, practical experience and sector developments with other team members. Remain willing to learn about product development, customer experience, sales and marketing processes and understand how these functions connect with legal services. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in law and admission to the bar; a master’s degree is considered an asset. Registration as a Trademark Attorney with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). At least three years of relevant professional experience in intellectual property law. Experience working with international clients or managing cross-border intellectual property matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Turkish. Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills. Ability to provide prompt, proactive, practical and commercially minded legal recommendations. Strong time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple matters and meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with legal, technical and business teams. Genuine interest in legal technology, digital products and emerging technological developments. Curiosity and willingness to learn about product development, sales, marketing and customer experience. A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge, provide feedback and contribute to the professional development of the team. Preferred Qualifications Registration as a Patent Attorney with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). An IELTS score of 7.0 or an equivalent level of English proficiency. Previous experience with or a strong interest in legal technology. Experience with international trademark filing systems, particularly the Madrid System. Experience coordinating matters with foreign associates and intellectual property offices. Experience in intellectual property portfolio management, client reporting and deadline management. Experience preparing client-facing presentations, reports or educational content. An interest in the commercial and strategic aspects of intellectual property.
