Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant based in our İstanbul HQ (İçerenköy • Ataşehir) , you will be responsible for import and export accounting transactions, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end closing activities. You will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes, support audit activities, and participate in process improvement initiatives while developing your expertise in SAP, import accounting, and general accounting. Key Responsibilities Recording cost entries related to import files and transactions Accounting for import invoices, expenses, and costs upon obtaining the necessary approvals Accounting for export-related expenses and costs upon obtaining the necessary approvals Managing and following up on customer/vendor account reconciliations Supporting month-end closing activities Monitoring and controlling accounting records and transactions Assisting with internal and external audit processes Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes Supporting the backup structure and cross-functional coverage within the team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field 3–5 years of experience in general accounting Preferably experienced in import accounting processes Experienced in accounts receivable/payable reconciliations At least upper-intermediate level English proficiency (speaking, writing, and comprehension) Proficient in MS Excel.Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP Strong analytical thinking skills Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills High sense of responsibility and openness to learning and development APPLICATION Would you like to make a career change within Geberit?
