TCI also provides the most innovative solutions to the aviation industry with products such as service trolleys, cargo containers, and seat power systems, which are widely used in aviation operations. The company operates with design, engineering, manufacturing, and R&D capabilities at its facilities in Istanbul and Seattle , serving multiple aircraft types and catering to industry leaders such as Boeing , Airbus , and some of the world’s leading airlines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. At least 5 years of experience in hardware design, including schematic capture and PCB layout. Experience with Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics tools (PADS or Xpedition); Altium Designer knowledge is preferred. Experience in high-speed PCB design, including controlled impedance, differential pairs, length/delay matching, return paths and crosstalk; ability to assess signal and power integrity. Ability to analyse hardware requirements, maintain requirements-to-design-to-test traceability, and work in accordance with applicable aviation project requirements and processes. Hands-on skills in prototype bring-up, laboratory measurements, debugging and root cause analysis; familiarity with EMI/EMC, design for manufacturability and testability. Ability to review subcontractor technical deliverables, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage design revisions using PLM/PDM or version control systems. HyperLynx or equivalent SI/PI analysis tools; LTspice/PSpice or equivalent circuit simulation; DOORS/Polarion or equivalent requirements tools; Python/LabVIEW for test automation. Good command of written and spoken English, including technical documentation and communication. Responsibilities Develop schematics and PCB layouts, contribute to hardware architecture, component selection and electrical interface definition, and collaborate with systems, software and mechanical engineering teams. Perform board bring-up and laboratory measurements, verify hardware functionality, troubleshoot issues and conduct root cause analysis to implement necessary design improvements. Participate in functional verification, integration, environmental and EMC testing as required by the project. Contribute to test procedures and acceptance criteria, evaluate test results and support the resolution of identified issues. Define and implement high-speed PCB design constraints, including layer stack-up, controlled impedance, trace length and delay matching, differential pair routing, return current paths and crosstalk control. Perform or review signal and power integrity analyses and implement appropriate design improvements. Participate in schematic and PCB design reviews, assessing electrical and physical design rules, EMI/EMC measures, design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT). Analyse system and customer requirements from a hardware perspective, assessing feasibility, clarity, consistency and verifiability. Resolve incomplete or conflicting requirements with relevant teams and contribute to hardware requirements development. Ensure that hardware designs comply with applicable aviation project requirements, relevant standards and approved design and verification processes. Maintain requirements-to-design-to-test traceability and document evidence of compliance. Prepare and maintain design files, bills of materials (BOM), manufacturing outputs and technical documentation. Manage design revisions and assess the impact of changes on requirements, interfaces and verification activities. Review design files, technical decisions, test results and outstanding issues when taking over existing projects. Identify gaps and technical risks to ensure project continuity. Review subcontractor design documentation and test results for compliance with requirements. Monitor technical deliverables, non-conformities and corrective actions, and coordinate technical issues with relevant teams. Support component availability and lifecycle assessments, evaluate alternative components, and assess their impact on design and verification.
