Start Your Legal Career with a Strong Focus on Specialization Aslan Law Firm is looking for a Legal Intern who wishes to begin their legal career by developing expertise in competition law, data protection law and contract law . Led by our Founding Partner, Prof. Dr. İ. Yılmaz Aslan , our team advises domestic and international clients across a broad range of legal and strategic matters. With our extensive experience and in-depth knowledge, particularly in competition law, we support our clients not only in resolving complex legal issues, but also in identifying risks, strengthening compliance structures, managing contractual relationships and making strategic business decisions. At Aslan Law Firm, legal interns do not simply observe matters from the sidelines, and their work is not limited to legal research. From the beginning of their traineeship, they are expected to become active members of the team and contribute to the full range of services we provide. Our legal interns work on a full-time basis . What Will You Work On? As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to take an active role in matters including: Investigations, applications, notifications and other proceedings before the Turkish Competition Authority and the Turkish Data Protection Authority, The preparation of petitions, submissions, defenses, legal opinions and other documents to be filed before public authorities, Competition law and data protection compliance programs, Internal compliance reviews, risk assessments and audit processes, Responding to clients’ day-to-day legal questions, Reviewing commercial practices and business models from competition law and data protection perspectives, Providing legal, regulatory and strategic advice to companies, Drafting, reviewing and revising commercial contracts, Supporting contract negotiation and execution processes, Identifying contractual risks and developing practical solutions aligned with clients’ commercial needs, Supporting clients in the management of their contractual obligations and commercial relationships, Monitoring legislation, regulatory decisions, court judgments and current legal developments, Supporting client training, awareness and compliance activities, Conducting legal research and transforming research findings into practical, strategic and client-oriented legal advice. Throughout the traineeship, you will be encouraged to ask questions, express your views, contribute to team discussions and gradually assume greater responsibility. Who We Are Looking For This opportunity may be a strong fit for you if you: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Have successfully passed the examination required to commence your mandatory legal traineeship, Wish to develop long-term expertise in competition law, data protection law and contract law, Have a genuine interest in understanding how law interacts with business, technology and commercial decision-making, Are fluent in English; knowledge of an additional language is considered an advantage, Have strong legal research, analytical and writing skills, Are interested in developing your contract drafting, review and negotiation skills, Are willing to take responsibility and follow your work through to completion, Are curious, proactive and committed to continuous professional development, Pay close attention to detail without losing sight of the broader legal and commercial context, Can manage multiple responsibilities in a structured and reliable manner, Communicate clearly and confidently, Value collaboration and enjoy working as part of a team, Are capable of building relationships of trust with colleagues and clients. Previous internship, academic or coursework experience in competition law, data protection law, contract law or related fields is considered an advantage. More importantly, we are looking for candidates who are genuinely motivated to specialize in these areas, are not hesitant to take responsibility and are committed to continuously improving themselves.
