Puzzle Level Designer (Mobile Games)

Com Games is a small, fast-moving mobile game studio based in Istanbul. We build and scale casual and puzzle games on iOS and Android, with live titles that already have real players. We're looking for a Puzzle Level Designer who can craft levels that are satisfying to solve, smooth to learn, and tuned to keep players coming back. Your first mission: design and tune level progression for our puzzle games — difficulty curves, pacing, and that "one more level" feeling. What you'll do Design, build, and balance puzzle levels from concept to live release Shape difficulty curves and progression that teach mechanics naturally and stay fun Tune pacing, challenge, and reward to maximize engagement and retention Use playtests and analytics to find friction points, drop-offs, and difficulty spikes Iterate fast based on level funnel data (completion rates, fail rates, churn points) Work closely with developers and artists to bring levels to life Contribute ideas for new mechanics, content, and live-ops level packs What you bring 2+ years of level / content design experience, ideally in mobile puzzle or casual games Strong understanding of puzzle design, difficulty balancing, and player psychology A sharp sense of pacing, progression, and what makes a level feel satisfying Comfort working with data — level funnels, completion and fail rates, retention metrics Ability to prototype and iterate quickly in editors or in-engine tools A player-first mindset and a love for puzzle games Good English communication Nice to have Experience with Unity or in-engine level tools Basic scripting or spreadsheet-driven level configuration Experience tuning levels on a live game using analytics Familiarity with live-ops, events, and content pipelines 🚀We value people who are proactive, resourceful, self-disciplined, open to feedback, and driven by measurable product impact. 🎮If you’re excited to create engaging game worlds and be part of a passionate team, we’d love to hear from you.
