As an Inventory & Equipment Supervisor , you will lead inventory and equipment management activities to ensure optimal equipment availability, efficient container flows, and cost-effective operations across the assigned geographical area. Reporting directly to the Inventory & Equipment Manager, you will manage a team, drive operational performance, and collaborate closely with commercial, customer service, operations, and external partners to support business objectives. Role & Responsibilities: Lead and develop the Inventory & Equipment team, ensuring high performance and operational excellence. Optimize equipment availability, inventory levels, and container flows to support business and commercial needs. Monitor equipment forecasts, stock movements, and booking trends to anticipate operational requirements. Oversee empty container repositioning, equipment deployment, and on-hire/off-hire activities. Track equipment utilization and container visibility, driving actions to improve asset productivity. Manage equipment-related costs, including storage, transportation, depot, and repositioning expenses. Oversee depot service providers, procurement activities, and the implementation of pick-up/drop-off policies. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, depots, vendors, and customers. Identify operational improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, service quality, and cost performance. Provide regular performance reporting and operational insights to support decision-making and business objectives. Skills & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, container equipment management, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or a related operational environment. Previous team management or supervisory experience is considered a strong plus. Strong knowledge of equipment management, container flow optimization, and inventory control processes. Proven ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and drive business decisions. Experience in managing operational costs and implementing efficiency improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to collaborate across functions and external partners. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Regular communication with regional and international stakeholders is required, and part of the interview process will be conducted in English. Ability to work 4 days per week from our Istanbul office (hybrid working model).
