Software Engineer

About the Company Hevi AI is a Turkish medical AI company developing CE-certified radiology AI products, including hStroke, hChestXR, hProstate, and hBreastMMG, deployed across 75+ hospitals in Turkey and internationally. Our mission is to bring clinical-grade artificial intelligence into everyday radiology workflows, reducing diagnostic times and improving patient outcomes. About the Role This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of software development, operational problem-solving, and intelligent automation. You will work closely with our Account Management and Operations teams to diagnose recurring issues across our hospital deployments, build automation pipelines that prevent them from recurring, and design agentic workflows that help Hevi AI scale without scaling headcount proportionally. You will be embedded in the day-to-day operational reality of a healthcare AI company; tracking anomalies in production systems, collaborating on root cause analysis, and turning field learnings into durable technical solutions. Remote collaboration with hospital IT teams is a core part of the job. Responsibilities Develop AI based backend applications Building reusable code and libraries for future use Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability Implementation of security and data protection on healthcare standards Design and implementation of data storage solutions Develop Unit, Integration Tests Define deployment cloud & premise solutions Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic Work i ng 3 days in a week on our Ataşehir Office Required Qualifications 0–2 years of hands-on software development experience Solid fundamentals in Python and/or Java — able to read, debug, and write production-quality code. Comfortable working in Linux environments: command line, file systems, services, and logs. Experience with Docker: building images, writing Compose files, and debugging containers. A structured, analytical mindset for operational problems — persistence in identifying root causes. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. A genuine eagerness to learn in a diverse and rapidly evolving toolset. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with n8n, Dify, or other workflow automation platforms. Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks or LLM-based automation pipelines. Exposure to DICOM, HL7, or other healthcare IT standards. Basic networking knowledge: VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and TCP/IP troubleshooting. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Huawei Cloud). Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) or log aggregation. Background in medical technology, healthcare SaaS, or regulated software environments.
