We are looking for a “ Logistics Manager ” to be assigned to our “ Logistics and Foreign Trade ” department. Location: Altınova, Yalova, Türkiye (HQ-based) — the position is responsible for the logistics operations of the Company's investment projects outside Türkiye; requires international travel. WHAT DO WE EXPECT? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent, preferably a master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, 7+ years of experience in sea-air-land-project transportation, foreign trade and customs clearance operations in an international logistics environment, Hands-on experience in project cargo, breakbulk and heavy-lift logistics for large-scale industrial equipment (e.g., power generation equipment, engines, turbines, OTSG/boiler packages), including breakbulk vessel chartering/hiring, is required, Preferably experience in the Energy, Construction or Heavy Industry sectors, 5+ years of leadership/management experience required, Experience in vendor selection and contract negotiation, Expert in all forms of payment and delivery terms, including L/C transactions, Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing logistics cost reduction initiatives, Ability to manage complex subjects across multiple geographies and cultures, Good understanding of the commercial aspects of the business, Fluent in English (writing, speaking and reading); knowledge of an additional language relevant to the operating regions is a plus, Experienced in using the SAP MM module, proficient in MS Office programs, Strong leadership, initiative, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, Ability to build relationships at the local, corporate and international levels, Strong planning and organizational skills, Proactive and results-oriented approach, Analytical thinking, well-developed presentation, reporting and operational metrics management skills, No obstacles to frequent international travel, Completed military service for male applicants. Responsible for the logistics operations management of the Company's international investment projects worldwide, Ensures the right products are delivered to the right location, on time, to the required quality and in the most cost-effective way, Coordinates receiving, warehousing, distribution and transportation services for materials, equipment and supplies, Manages the execution, direction and coordination of all transportation and customs operations to ensure logistics services are performed safely, on time and in accordance with specifications, Coordinates closely with technical departments and project/plant teams to identify needs and resolve issues, Ensures compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures and processes to achieve operational excellence, Identifies new ideas for the overall logistics value chain, optimizing existing processes and developing cross-border solutions that add value to the Company, Identifies risks, develops mitigation strategies, and facilitates conflict resolution, Ensures follow-up and compliance with local and international laws, regulations, customs and duties, Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external partners, Monitors and reports departmental KPIs and takes necessary corrective actions, Responsible for improving current systems to ensure the resilience and agility of logistics operations in line with evolving global market conditions, Responsible for contract management with logistics service providers, Responsible for keeping existing procedures up to date.
