Sanctions Specialist | Beykoz, Istanbul Join our dynamic team at our headquarters in Beykoz, Istanbul! We are looking for a Sanctions Specialist who will add value to our company, contribute to our processes, and support our operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, International Relations, or a related field, Minimum 3 years of experience in Sanctions, Compliance, Risk Management, or related fields, Advanced level of English proficiency, Knowledge of international sanctions regimes, particularly OFAC, European Union (EU), United Kingdom (UK), and United Nations (UN) sanctions, Experience with sanctions screening databases and systems, Ability to monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess their impact on business processes, Experience in process improvement and the development of policies and procedures, Proficiency in MS Office applications, Strong research and investigative skills with a high level of attention to detail, Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. JOB DESCRIPTION: Manage and develop sanctions compliance processes in accordance with applicable national and international sanctions regulations across the Company and its group companies, Manage sanctions screening processes for customers, suppliers, business partners, and other relevant parties, Assess actual and proposed commercial and financial transactions from a sanctions risk perspective, Monitor relevant sanctions regimes and assess the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on the Company’s processes, Conduct detailed reviews of potential sanctions matches, perform risk assessments, and ensure appropriate resolution, Communicate assessments regarding sanctions risks related to customers, transactions, or business relationships to relevant business units and senior management, Conduct sanctions screening and risk assessments on vessels, vessel owners, operators, managers, charterers, and other relevant maritime counterparties, Contribute to the development and maintenance of sanctions compliance policies, procedures, and control mechanisms, Prepare periodic sanctions compliance reports and present findings to management, Provide guidance and advisory support to relevant business units on sanctions regulations and their implementation, Review the Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) and ownership/control structures of customers, suppliers, business partners, and other relevant parties, and assess associated sanctions risks.
