Currently, Karpowership owns and operates over than 30 Powerships with an installed capacity exceeding 3,500 MW and another 5,000 MW are under construction or in the pipeline. In addition to a Powership fleet, Karpowership owns and operates its own LNG fleet. With expertise and experience in the field, Karpowership serves as a one-stop-shop for LNG to Power solutions, as a single provider delivering all parts of the value chain; including but not limited to LNG sourcing, transport, delivery, regasification, and electricity production; with the mission of powering life wherever needed. With more than 2,000 employees globally; Karpowership is operational in Mozambique, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau, Gambia, Senegal, Sudan, Ivory Coast, New Caledonia, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Cuba. We are looking for a “ Purchasing Manager ” to be assigned to our “Supply Chain Management” department. WHAT DO WE EXPECT? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical-Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical & Materials, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related fields), Business Administration, Economics, or relevant areas, Minimum 10 years’ experience in procurement processes and foreign trade functions, Fluency in written and spoken English, Strong knowledge of contract preparation, tendering, and negotiation, Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP MM, Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills, Strong analytical, problem-solving, and long-term planning capabilities, Knowledge of risk management and compliance practices, Ability to multitask in a complex and demanding environment, No restrictions for domestic and international travel. WHAT AWAITS YOU? Lead procurement operations for Turkey-based land power plants and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of all related goods and services, Manage procurement needs of internal stakeholders (Administrative Affairs, HR, and other corporate functions), Coordinate and execute procurement requests directly raised by Board Members with confidentiality and accuracy, Ensure all procurement procedures, policies, and reports are continuously updated, compliant, and aligned with company strategy, Realize all material and service procurements with the desired quality, specifications, and cost targets from approved suppliers, Lead and finalize tender and contract processes for administrative services (catering, security, cleaning, employee transportation, etc.), Manage supplier relationships effectively and in line with category strategies, conduct market research, identify new suppliers, and maintain supplier evaluation and sustainability processes, Oversee and support maintenance, repair, and service contracts of machinery and equipment related to KH properties, Ensure synchronization of procurement activities with the Corporate Development strategy, Drive cost-reduction initiatives and optimization projects to improve company profitability, Provide accurate and timely procurement reports to the Procurement Coordinator and contribute to departmental KPIs, Lead, guide, and coach the procurement team under your responsibility to maximize efficiency and performance.
