Software Engineer (Go)

Berqnet is a growing technology company building next-generation UTM and SASE security products. We are looking for a Software Engineer to build the backend services of our UTM and SASE platform. In this role, you will be part of the team that designs, develops, and operates systems that thousands of businesses rely on every day, from high-traffic network services to device management APIs. We are looking for an engineer who puts performance and security first and takes pride in owning a product that runs in the field. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services, agents, and CLI tools for our UTM and SASE products in Go Design high-performance, scalable REST and gRPC APIs for device management, policy distribution, logging, and reporting Work on network-layer components such as packet processing, VPN/ZTNA, DNS, and web filtering, targeting low latency and high throughput Write code in line with secure software development principles, and actively take part in code reviews and security testing Write unit and integration tests, improve CI/CD processes, and use profiling to find and eliminate bottlenecks Investigate issues raised by field and support teams down to their root cause, and feed partner and customer feedback back into the product Work with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams, taking ownership from the design of new features through to production release Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, or a related field At least 3 years of backend development experience on production systems, including at least 2 years with Go Strong command of goroutines, channels, context, and synchronization primitives; experience with concurrent and distributed systems Solid knowledge of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/TLS, routing, and NAT Experience developing and debugging in FreeBSD and Debian environments Experience with PostgreSQL or a similar relational database, and with caching solutions such as Redis Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD processes A habit of writing tests and an appreciation for readable, maintainable code Professional proficiency in English, including the ability to read and write technical documentation Nice to Have Development experience with firewall, VPN (WireGuard, IPsec), ZTNA, or SASE products Familiarity with the FreeBSD network stack and technologies such as pf, ipfw, netmap, netgraph, kqueue, and jails Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ, and with large-volume log processing Experience operating services with Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana, with a focus on observability Experience developing software for resource-constrained, FreeBSD-based appliances, including building Go for FreeBSD (cross-compilation, cgo, syscalls) Interest in OWASP, secure coding, and penetration testing processes Familiarity with log and compliance requirements such as KVKK and Law No. 5651 Contributions to open-source projects Başvuru yapmadan önce, kişisel verilerinizin nasıl işleneceğini açıklayan KVKK Aydınlatma Metni’ni incelemenizi önemle rica ederiz.
