For our Siemens Electrification and Automation (EA) Factory, we are looking for a highly motivated Part-Time Working Student to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industrial environment. You will assist our maintenance engineering team in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable factory operations through continuous process tracking, project support, and effective use of digital maintenance tools. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineering student to step into the world of industrial maintenance, safety compliance, and project management. What are my responsibilities? Promote Safety Culture: Actively participate in and support "Safety Walk and Talk" routines on the shop floor to identify potential hazards and reinforce a zero-harm culture. CMMS Tracking & Data Management: Assist in tracking daily maintenance activities, updating work orders, and maintaining accurate records within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Project Management Support: Assist maintenance engineers in planning, coordinating, and executing local improvement projects and scheduled overhauls. Process Tracking: Monitor ongoing maintenance workflows and processes, ensuring tasks progress according to schedule and highlighting any constraints or bottlenecks to the team. Reporting & Analytics: Prepare daily and weekly maintenance reports, compile data for KPI dashboards (e.g., equipment downtime, preventive maintenance completion rates), and assist in analyzing trends to support data-driven decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production, quality, and EHS teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment during maintenance interventions. What do I need to qualify for this job? Education: Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory to effectively communicate within our global network and document technical procedures. Technical Aptitude: A strong interest in industrial maintenance, manufacturing environments, and project management methodologies. Software Skills: Good command of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Previous exposure to any CMMS or data visualization tools (like Power BI) is a strong plus. Soft Skills: Highly organized with a strong analytical mindset. Eager to learn, proactive, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
